Erika Moen is the co-writer and artist behind OJST. She has been a full-time, professional cartoonist and comic book creator at Periscope Studio in Portland, OR since she was 25. Her work has been published by Dark Horse Comics, Image Comics, Villard, BOOM!Studios, Penny Arcade, and Scholastic, among others. She is a cisgender, white, able-bodied, queer lady who has been happily married to Matthew Nolan since October 2008.
Matthew Nolan is a devastatingly handsome half-French, half-Australian silver fox with salt and pepper hair, with an amazing accent. Raised in England, Matthew has lived in the US since 2008 with his wife, Erika. He co-writes, edits, and colors the OJST strips, manages all the business things related to making the comic profitable, and created and maintains the website.
Yes – Erika and Matthew started off as a long-distance relationship. For three and a half years!!!
And wouldn’t you know it, they’ve made an amazing comic about their journey! They were so awesome to allow us to share their strip here, on our #TrustThursday blog:
We hope you enjoyed Erika and Matthew’s story, and hope you visit their site for suggestions on products you can use. Their reviews are honest, easy to understand, and fun to read!
Note: Special thanks to last week’s guest poster, Kira Manser of The CSPH, for the suggestion to use Erika and Matthew’s story!
